Biodegradable Plastic Mulch Film

Biodegradable Plastic Mulch Film

Biodegradable plastic mulch film increase agricultural efficiency and improve the soil: they are easy to spread and promote seedling growth, while preventing weed growth without chemicals.

Manufacturing Biodegradable Plastic Mulch

The manufacturing process for our biodegradable plastic mulch involves the following key steps:

Raw material selection: We carefully select starch-based biodegradable polymers.

Film Extrusion: The selected raw material is processed through a film extruder, where it is melted and formed into a thin, flexible film. The film is then cooled and cured to obtain the desired thickness and strength.

Additives Incorporated: These additives may include UV stabilizers to prevent degradation by sunlight, and colorants for easy identification and differentiation.

Printing and Perforation: Mulch may be custom printed to allow branding, product information or descriptions to be displayed on the mulch. It may also be perforated to promote water and air infiltration for healthy plant growth.

Features

Biodegradable mulch film has higher mechanical strength than regular film, so thickness can be reduced to help offset higher raw material costs.

Our mulches are engineered to break down naturally over time, reducing the environmental impact compared to traditional plastic mulches. They degrade into harmless substances, leaving no harmful residue in the soil.

Mulch films help maintain soil moisture, promote optimal plant growth and reduce water requirements.

These films help to regulate soil temperature by trapping heat during cooler periods and reflecting excess heat during warmer periods.

DURABILITY AND STRENGTH: Even though our mulch film is biodegradable, it is still durable and tear-resistant, ensuring that it can withstand rigorous agricultural practices.

Biodegradable plastic bags typically release fewer toxic substances as they break down, which minimizes soil and water contamination.
